We’re innocent until proven guilty

That’s what they say

So why are we locked up

Twenty four hours a day

Forced to live in a cell

No bigger than a bathroom

We’re not being treated like humans

But animals

We’re placed in an unsanitary confinement

Unhealthy environment

And very unpleasant place

If we’re innocent until proven guilty

Why are you

THE GOVERNMENT

Treating us this way?

Innocent or not

We’re still humans

At the end of the day

So place yourselves in our shoes

Would you want to be treated this way?

I write this for every inmate whether Black, White, Hispanic, etc. that’s locked behind the walls of somebody’s jail. I don’t care if you’re innocent or not we shouldn’t be treated like scum.
