Life I Choose

Being locked up is not what I asked for but this is the life I choose

I guess this is a sign from God and this is where my mind grows.

It’s time to say no to everything and tell da drugs I’m done.

Cause I’ve always dreamed of being a rich man and afraid of being a bum

Yea I lost a lot of things but I can’t let that put me down. 

Cause I wanna be the big man of the town wearing the crown

But you know dis is the life I choose

I’m sitting here right now writing at my desk

Thinking of all da shit I done and it’s hurtin my chest

One thing I never wanted to be is like the rest

One thing I will be is at the top bein the best

But you know dis is the life I choose

Looking at my charges and I have a big load

Thinkin of where I would be if I didn’t go down that road.
