Nov. 4th

Hope everything is good with you. Well let me first say I just received your letter you sent out on Nov. 2nd.

Now on to the new unfortunate event that us here in 4C had. I came back from (another pod) on the night of the 29th and on the night of the 30th there was a fight in 4C. Some guys jumped a young 17 year old boy for some reason unbeknownst to me. Now here is what happened. The pod officer was a nasty acting lady the name of Mrs. Jackson on this particular night she popped all the doors and everybody came out now the young boy went into or was pulled into lucky cell #6 and fought or beaten he was by the end of it, bleeding from the nose badly. Now the C.O. Mrs. Jackson was too busy chatting it up with some of the other young inmates and was not paying attention to what was going on so this fight lasted on about 10-15 minutes. Then she sees what is going on and calls code 10-40–they all come running, lock down the pod and keep the whole pod locked back till today, Nov. the 4th which is bullshit. All the parties involved with the fight were taken to the hole. And the jail staff wants to show that they have control. Now my belief is the jail is liable monetarily for this said 17 year old boy’s beating and I can’t for the life of me understand this 5 day lock back and we are still only now let out of our cells once a day. With no explanation. All the inmates in 4C are very upset about all this and some have written about it that I have put in this letter. Well that’s it 4 now.
